Barriss Offee was a female Mirialan Jedi near the end of the Old Republic. She was apprenticed to Luminara Unduli and chose the path of a Jedi Guardian. Barriss fought and survived the Battle of Geonosis and while she fought many battles during the Clone War, she became frustrated with the Jedi Council's lack of effort to end the war, later turning on the Jedi and instigating a bombing in the Jedi Temple. After that she was recruited by Darth Sidious as a Dark Jedi and she led the attack on the Jedi Temple during Operation:Knightfall. For the next fifteen years she would continue to serve the Empire but proved of little worth to Sidious, being defeating twice by mere padawans; first Galen Marek and then Mara Jade Kenobi. She began to consider turning against Sidious and turned to now-Dark Jedi Mara Jade for assistance. This, however, had been part of a plan by Sidious and Barriss was betrayed and killed by Mara Jade.
